Waimea Real Estate - Big Island of Hawaii

The story behind Waimea can be a little confusing. The name officially refers to the upland community on the Big Island of Hawaii. But there are also other communities on other Hawaiian islands that share the name. As if matters aren't confusing enough, the region is also known as Kamuela, if only by the post office so that they can distinguish this town from the other islands that have a Waimea. Maui July 2015 Statistics Brief Maui Statistics Overview:

July's Sales Unit Volume – Residential sales rose significantly to 128 homes sold while Condominium sales declined slightly to 94 units sold. Land sales came in at 13 lots sold.

July's Median SALES prices –The Residential median price declined to $590,000 and the Condo median price rose to $394,000. Land median price decreased to $250,000.

Days on Market, Residential homes = 119, Condos = 124 DOM, Land = 149 DOM. (General DOM Note: this is the average DOM for the properties that SOLD. If predominantly OLD inventory sells, it will move this indicator upward, and vice versa.

As the Maui Real Estate market continues to improve, finding truly "good deals" is becoming tougher. One of the best markets to look for that "diamond in the rough"? The foreclosure, bank-owned and short sale space. Although these are not always tried and true "good deals" it's a great  place to start. (Scroll Down to See Every Deal on the Market today!)
