That's actually very possible. Since this is a very new neighborhood, only 48 have been built so far. In that case, you will need to purchase some land for sale at Lanikeha and build your dream home! Then the big question becomes "Who Do I Hire as the Builder" Naturally you will want to find the best builder in Lanikeha. That combination of reputable and reasonably priced (ie does not OVER charge!) is tough to find. When I first discovered this neighborhood (thanks to client of mine that asked me to list their land for sale), I was quite frankly BLOWN AWAY at this development. The next thing I really LOVE about this neighborhood is the architecture and design of the award winning homes!. This is the pinnacle of contemporary modern Hawaiian styling with indoor outdoor living floor plans that really make you WANT to shower outside! At the writing of this blog and making of the video only 48 homes have been built of the 136 lots (as of February 2020). So chances are good you may want to purchase a lot and have your own custom home built. If so, it would be important to work with a reputable builder that does not charge too much (good luck finding that combination on Maui) but thankfully I have some great references for you to a the best builders that have already done work in the neighborhood, and if you call me, I would be happy to pass on your name and encourage them to give you the best deal possible. As you will figure out, that's how things work in the islands!
This neighborhood is tucked away at the end of the road behind two gates (Kaanapali Golf Estate and Lanikeha - total dues for both? Around $600/mo) and has the perfect theater room elevation so everyone gets a fantastic view! The epic 180 degree views of Lanai and Molokai (and some Golf Course views of Kaanpali Kai as well!) along with quick golf cart access to Ka'anapali Beach make these 136 home sites very desirable. The lots sizes range from 9500 square feet to over 1 acre. Not to mention the $10M clubhouse which is of course for the exclusive use of owners and guests. It features a gorgeous over-sized infinity pool with hydro-spa and waterfall (complete with jaw dropping view), a air conditioned fitness gym (that's actually very important on the Lahaina side!), outdoor kitchen, bar-b-ques, gameroom, meeting place and mailboxes.
