Spreckelsville Real Estate For Sale

Spreckelsville is located along some of Mauis North Shore nicest, white sandy beaches and picturesque shoreline between Kahului and Paia. It is named for Claus Spreckels and his Spreckels Sugar Company back in the 19th century. Since then, it has become home to beautiful single-family homes near the long established, beautiful, newly upgraded Maui Country Club. Luxury homes range from around $2 to over $4 million and more, even into eight figures with some of the best beach access on Maui.

It is an unincorporated area off the Hana Highway between Kahului (OGG) airport and the vibrant, popular, somewhat Bohemian-style town of Paia with its famous Mana Food natural grocers, Paia Fish Market and the internationally recognized Mamas Fish House just a short drive away. Postal addresses for Spreckelsville are actually Paia, HI 96779.

Spreckelsville is perfect for folks looking for quick access to Mauis only larger metro area, Kahului, for shopping, medical facilities, and airport. There you will have easy access to all-important Costco, Target, and Whole Foods - stores people from all over the island drive miles escape higher prices common in other tourist and resort areas of Maui. There are two shopping malls, all the major automobile dealerships and repair shops, movie theaters, University of Hawaii, the Maui Arts and Culture Center just to name a few reasons to locate near Kahului.

Just on the other side of Kahului about 15-20 minutes away from Spreckelsville, you find the Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku, the only major hospital on Maui. There is even bus service all over the island for just $2 a ride ($1, for seniors). The closest stop to Spreckelsville is at nearby Paia Town/Public Parking. Or ride your bike or hike on the path from Spreckelsville all the way to Kahuluis Kanaha Beach Park.

Plus, Spreckelsville is on the main road to Hana, an easy drive to spectacular waterfalls and nature trails all the way to Hana. It is near Haleakala Highway and a short drive to visit all of Kulas popular destinations like wineries and lavender farm and on to Haleakala National Park for phenomenal sunsets and sunrises. The only minor drawback is the Hana Highway can become somewhat congested on weekends.

Beaches galore! They go for 2 miles. Some are popular with lots going on and others are more secluded with diverse shoreline features, reef pools, and long stretches of sandy beach. Watch kite and windsurfers on Sprecks aka Euro beach. Spreckelsville Beach begins at Camp One beach near the end of the airport runway (it used to be a hangout for transient folks and there still may be a few). Baldwin Beach with Baby Beach just to the west is a wonderful beach to spend the day, enjoy the sand, waves, picnics, stay for the sunset, build sandcastles, and very often marvel at the beached sea turtles. There are even BBQs and restroom facilities. Baby Beach captures pools of water that are great for swimming protected from stronger waves. Some waves along the North Shore at times can be dangerous with strong currents. Other beaches include Paia Bay, Tavares Cove, and Secret Beach. On the other side of Paia just a short drive away youll find Hookipa Beach, Windsurfing Capital of the World! Closer to Paia there is always something exciting going on the beach or in town. Yet, you can escape to peace and quiet walking or in your golf cart just a short way home to Spreckelsville.

Since 1925, the Maui Country Club has been the North Shores primary golf destination for members and their guests. Today, it features a new clubhouse, six tennis courts, swimming pool, fitness center, restaurant, and ballroom. Sprecks V is the area next to the club with more affordable homes when available.

Spreckelsville, being close to Paia yet away from the hustle and bustle has been very much in demand. Paia gets a lot of publicity both as a tourist destination and as a center for aquatic sports all over the world. Recent development activities have not kept up with the demand. Much of this is due to the limited number of vacant lots left to build on. The Old Spreckelsville or simply Old Spreck area is well developed and there are few listings because they are in high demand. The Spencer E Paepae Ka Pukoa subdivision near Stable Road is the newest development in Spreckelsville with guaranteed beach access. They go for about $1.4 to almost $2 million and are a half to one plus acres.

Living in Spreckelsville is close to having all Maui has to offer: beautiful homes in high demand, on the magnificent North Shore with beaches both quiet, serene in some places and busy with world class aquatic sports in others, near Maui Country Club, close to both Paia Town and Kahului with easy access to many of the activities and sights that make Maui a wonderful place to live.

Eric & Lisa are fantastic!

I was a Realtor 15 years ago in another state, so I know enough to know there's a lot I don't know about real estate transactions today, especially in moving to a new state in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Eric has extensive knowledge from his many decades of experience in real estate. Great answers to my many nuanced questions always came quickly. His communication is rapid and dependable. (How does he find time to surf?)

What we appreciated most about Eric is how open and supportive he was when we came for our first visit to Maui. With a gluttony of buyers and very little inventory, most agents weren't that interested in speaking with us since we weren't 'on island' yet. Eric was gracious and helpful. Every time we met he offered valuable advice that guided our move to Maui and the home we ended up choosing. We appreciated how he took us to see houses in areas we hadn't considered as it expanded our understanding of the land, options and market.

Throughout the journey from contract to close, Eric helped us navigate the complex process and joined us at all the appointments at the property, providing great advice and asking helpful questions of the listing agent. He gave us clear insight into our choices at bumpy points during the process and helped us remain relaxed when issues arose.

We first discovered Eric via his YouTube channel and were glad to discover his relaxed and fun personality is well-complimented by a profound commitment to integrity and productivity. I stalked him on social media and saw in his profile it said his commitment is to "God, Family and Real Estate". I'd say the same of him. And Lisa was such a pleasure to meet as she accompanied Eric on some showings., She was so wonderful and helpful with our two boys, who can be a handful while trying to view a house. What a joy they both are. My wife and I are blessed to know them and grateful are looking forward to our developing friendship with them here in Maui.

Mahalo, Eric & Lisa!
