Olinda land, updated daily from the Maui MLS
Olinda is the high, forested country above Makawao, near the Makawao Forest Reserve. It's cooler and wetter than the rest of Upcountry, with homes and acreage tucked among eucalyptus and pine.
The Maui MLS doesn't have a separate Olinda area. It groups Olinda into the Makawao, Olinda and Haliimaile district, so this page shows land and lots across that whole district, and not only in Olinda.
What this page shows: active land listings in the Maui MLS with the area set to Makawao/Olinda/Haliimaile, followed by recent closed sales in the same search. Active prices are asking prices. Sold prices are what the property closed for. Listings refresh automatically from the Realtors Association of Maui MLS.

Buying Land in Olinda: What to Know
Water Meters
Confirm whether the parcel already has a County water meter. If not, find out how you would get water before you plan to build.
Agricultural Zoning
Much of Upcountry is zoned agricultural, with its own rules on dwellings, farm plans and uses. Confirm what the specific parcel allows.
Roads and Access
Some parcels are on narrow, private or unpaved roads. Check legal access, easements and any road maintenance agreement.
Wildfire and Insurance
Upcountry Maui was hit by wildfire in August 2023. Think about defensible space and fire truck access when you plan the house.
None of this is legal, tax or engineering advice. Confirm each item for the specific property with the County of Maui, a title company, an inspector or an attorney.
