Across the Street vs Up the Hill
Complexes along South Kihei Road put you a short walk from the sand. Buildings up the hill are usually quieter, often newer and often less expensive, with a short drive to the beach.
Vacation Rental or Residential

Many are. Kihei has everything you need day to day, and plenty of complexes are mostly owner occupied or long term rentals with stricter rules against nightly rentals.
Can I buy a Kihei condo as a vacation rental?
Some Kihei condos can be rented short term today, but many are apartment zoned and affected by Maui's changing rules. Ask us about the specific building, and confirm with a Maui attorney before you count on the income.
