About Kapalua Ridge Villas
Kapalua Ridge Villas occupies over 21 acres of landscaped grounds and was built around 1979 and 1980 for low density. There are only 161 condos in 28 buildings, five or six homes to a building, each with its own parking space and storage. Villas run from one bedroom up to two bedroom, three bath layouts of about 1,125 to 2,149 square feet, close to twice the living space of many Maui condos.
The villas sit on a ridge overlooking the ocean, tucked along the Bay Course, and many have golf course views, with the Plantation Course in the distance from some. There are two swimming pools, a recreation room and BBQ areas, and the Coastal Trail, the Spa Montage and the beach at Oneloa Bay are right across the street.
Kapalua is famous for its golf and for beaches like Ironwoods, DT Fleming and Honolua Bay, known for snorkeling and some of the best surfing in Hawaii. Kapalua Bay, a short stroll from the villas, has been named Best Beach in the World by Dr. Beach and Best Beach in the US by Conde Nast, and its calm water makes for great snorkeling. Head south to Napili Bay for more snorkeling and sea turtles, and dinner right on the beach at Merriman's.
People like staying at the Ridge because Kapalua is a low impact resort. You get access to nearly unlimited activities without noisy crowds, heavy traffic or big hotel foot traffic.
