Ho'onanea at Lahaina is a well thought out planned community across the street from the Lahaina Gateway center and within walking distance or a short drive to Cannery Mall. Both have easy access to banks, shops, gas stations, restaurants, drug stores, and of course, the beach and Historic Lahaina Town. In seconds, you can be on the Lahaina bypass heading south to Kihei, Kahului and beautiful ocean scenery all along the way. Right up the hill there is easy access from the bypass to Lahaina elementary, middle, and high schools.

Located in the heart of Lahaina Town is Ho'onanea. This is a NOT a Maui Vacation Rental, but one of the best LONG TERM properties to own or rent in the West Side of Maui. It is also one of the few pet friendly condos on the Maui Real Estate Market.
In my most recent visit to the property, I spoke with one of the owners. She has lived their ever since it was first constructed. I asked her "What's your favorite aspect of living at Ho'onanea" Her answer was twofold. #1 The very close proximity to everything in Lahaina. #2 The fact you can walk your dog in all over the property. In other words, the HOA is pretty relaxed and they don't force you to only walk your dog in the "dog park"
She also indicated that having your own garage and a small area in your driveway for the little kids to ride their bikes and play with Dad when he comes home from work was HUGE. As you have likely noticed, many complexes in West Maui don't have a garage, or even covered parking. And since we all know Lahaina means "Cruel Sun" a little shade for your car during the day goes a long way. Better yet, a closed garage door and place to store your ocean toys is even better. Or as we say in Hawaii - "MO BETTAH!"

Interesting story, as in all our travels through the state we had always come back to desiring property in THIS valley, THIS community, but never thought it possible.
