Entry Level West Maui
Honokowai has some of the lower priced condos in West Maui, often in older walk up buildings. A lower price can come with higher dues or upcoming repairs, so look at the full monthly cost.
Oceanfront vs Across the Street
Some complexes sit right on the water and others are across Lower Honoapiilani Road. Across the street units usually cost less and can still have good ocean views.
Near Kaanapali
You're a few minutes from Kaanapali Beach, the golf courses and Whalers Village without paying resort prices, and Kapalua Airport is close by for island hops.

Are Honokowai condos a good value?
For West Maui, often yes. You get ocean access and a central location at lower prices than Kaanapali or Kapalua. Older buildings can carry repair costs, so we always check the reserves and recent assessments.
Can I rent my Honokowai condo to vacationers?
It depends on the building's zoning and rules. Some complexes have operated as vacation rentals for decades, and some are affected by Maui's changing rules for apartment zoned condos. Ask us, and confirm with a Maui attorney.
