"Went Beyond What Any Other Realtor I Know Of Would Do"

Eric was outstanding from the start in our home- buying process in Hawaii. From the beginning and throughout, Eric was always at our service with prompt, knowledgable advise and communication during the process. He helped us find the perfect home for our family with some personal video he sent us and then expertly moved us into a good position to buy the home. He also helped us during the inspection periods and with our negotiations to improve our buying confidence. We couldn't be more pleased with Eric's quality, knowledge, personality and negotiation skills. He was truly excellent.

 More on Oahu...

The state capital is Honolulu, located on Oʻahu's southeast coast. The island has a total land area of 596.7 square miles. This volcanic island is 44 miles long and 30 miles across. Being diamond-shaped and surrounded by ocean cleverly divided by mountain ranges. Directions on Oʻahu are not generally described with north, south, east and west found throughout the world. Locals instead use "ewa" (pronounced "eh-va") to mean toward the western tip of the island, "Diamond Head" to be toward the eastern tip, "mauka" is toward the mountains and "makai" toward the sea.

Oahu is separated into 5 main areas: Honolulu real estate, the North Shore real estate, the Windward Coast real estate, Central Oahu real estate and the Leeward Coast real estate. Note that world-famous Waikiki real estate is actually a neighborhood located in greater Honolulu. Of course all of this exceptional real estate can be searched form one easy to use portal combining all 3 Hawaii MLS searches into one easy to use Hawaii MLS Real Estate system on hawaiirealestate.org

There are generally two seasons on Oahu. Winter, November through April, when temperatures typically range in the low-70s to mid-80s, and summer when the high can run into the low-90s. Average air temperature ranges from 74 degrees F to 88 degrees F  with moderate humidity of 53% during the day. Gentle trade winds keep even the warmest months comfortable, so any time of year is a good time to visit Oahu. And right now is certainly the best time to buy real estate in Hawaii and especially real estate in Oahu. The real estate for sale in Oahu, Hawaii is at all time lows, both inventory levels and prices! This market is quickly becoming a sellers market. So if you have plans to buy real estate or land for sale in Hawaii, now is the time.

Oahu is home to the State Capitol, Honolulu, which is the vibrant epicenter of Hawaii. Here you’ll find everything from historic landmarks and treasured monuments to world-class shopping and a flourishing arts and culture scene. Home to the majority of Oahu’s population, the sprawling city of Honolulu spreads throughout the southeastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbor to Makapuu Point, encompassing world famous Waikiki.

Honolulu has it all. This is the home of some of Hawaii’s most historic places from Iolani Palace, the Kawaiahao Church, the Mission Houses and the treasured artifacts of the Bishop Museum to iconic landmarks like the Aloha Tower, the King Kamehameha I Statue, the Duke Kahanamoku Statue and the historic Hawaii Theatre. Honolulu is also Hawaii’s hot spot for arts, culture and entertainment. From the nightlife, live music and fine dining of Waikiki to the art galleries and underground bars of the Chinatown arts district. Whether you’re looking for Hawaii’s finest museums, or Hawaii’s finest Hawaii Regional Cuisine chefs, the best resorts, festivals, and events, or just some fun things to do, you’ll find it all in Honolulu.

Set beneath the towering green slopes of the Koolau Mountains, the Windward side offers a scenic alternative to Waikiki, with its dramatic ocean views, quiet beaches, and off-the-beaten-path attractions. You’ll notice immediately how much this side of the island is wetter and greener than the Leeward Coast. In the shadow of these 2,000-foot Koolau mountain peaks, the Windward side features a laid-back atmosphere perfect for ocean lovers. Take a short drive from Waikiki and Honolulu over the mountainous Pali Highway. Be sure to stop at the historic Nuuanu Pali Lookout for breathtaking views. Whether you’re kayaking off of Kailua Beach or body surfing in the waves of Waimanalo Beach, Kailua is a place to relax and enjoy the sea.

If there is such a thing as a perfect wave, you’ll likely find it on Oahu’s North Shore. Stretching for more than 7 miles, the beaches of the North Shore host the world’s premier surfing competitions during the peak, winter months, including the Super Bowl of wave riding, the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing (November - December).  The big, glassy winter waves of this legendary surf mecca attract the best surfers in the world, while summer waves are far smaller and more gentle – all of which makes the North Shore the perfect surf spot! Stroll in the thick sands of Waimea Bay, Ehukai Beach (Banzai Pipeline) and Sunset Beach — just leave the surfing to the pros. The months between November and February are the best times to watch big wave surfing. These massive waves can sometimes swell up to thirty feet or more and can even be dangerous for experienced surfers so please heed warning signs. From May to September, the waves subside, creating a more tranquil atmosphere for surfing, swimming and sunbathing.

Roughly a one hour drive from Waikiki, the North Shore is also home to various condo rentals, and luxurious hawaii real estate offerings. The luxurious Turtle Bay Resort and Haleiwa Town, where you can shop, eat like a local and cool off with rainbow flavored shave ice, the perfect way to end your day on the North Shore. At the foot of the 4000 foot Waianae mountain range and less than 30 miles from Waikiki lies the Leeward Coast. Some of the finest Oahu real estate, Hawaii Land for sale and Oahu Beach front and ocean front porperties for sale. Dryer than the lush Windward Coast, this local area is home to rural towns, off-the-beaten-path beaches and one luxurious resort area. Most visitors to the Leeward Coast will be coming to visit the beautiful Ko Olina resort area. Home to the J.W. Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, this 43-acre marina offers stretches of beautiful shoreline, ample opportunities for water sports and championship golf. Other attractions in the area include the Paradise Cove Luau. Local beaches include Makaha Beach, one of the first spots where surfers began big wave surfing, and Yokohama Bay.

At the end of the road you can take a hike to Oahu’s western most point at sacred Kaena Point. The fertile central valley between the Waianae Mountains and Koolau range offers a peek into some of Oahu’s most historical real estate. On your way from Honolulu to the North Shore, you’ll pass residential areas (with some prime offerings of Hawaii real estate for sale) which of course you can search on our Hawaii MLS on this website. As well the Leilehua Plateau in Wahiawa, where you can see sprawling fields that are reminders of Oahu’s sugar cane and pineapple plantation past, which may someday be home to more quality Hawaii real estate offerings. Attractions in Central Oahu include the Dole Plantation, famous for its Guinness Book of World Records worthy shrub maze,  the Hawaii Plantation Village, where you can learn about Oahu’s plantation past, and Aloha Stadium, site of University of Hawaii football games and annual site of the NFL Pro Bowl…that is until they decide to bring it back to Hawaii…and hopefully AFTER the Super Bowl! But the most important landmark in Central Oahu sits to the south in historic Pearl Harbor, the largest natural harbor in Hawaii. This active naval base is home to 5 Pearl Harbor Historic Sites: The Pacific Historic Parks, the USS Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, the Pacific Aviation Museum and the USS Oklahoma Memorial. These special monuments commemorate the historic events that changed world history during World War II
